Visited the animals after dropping off some linens for donation. We enjoyed hanging out with the cats and almost left with a bonded pair (Jingle & Belle), however we weren’t prepared to adopt any yet. Staff were friendly and kind, and the interior was immaculate.
Thank you so very much to the wonderful staff at the Humane Society of Pinellas. We are over joyed to have found the perfect kitty for my daughter. It is obvious when you visit that the animals are well taken care of and loved. So glad to be the forever home of the sweetest bundle of joy that we fell in love with there. Sean was warm and kind and made the adoption process simple. He gave excellent service and thorough explanation of all treatments and medical history of our cat. The facility is immaculately clean and inviting. Very grateful for Sean and the work this place does for the animals and community. We are very happy with our new furever family member and I highly recommend visiting if you are looking to rescue an animal.
My new adopted fur baby I adopted from the human society of pinellas, Mr.Vinny also nicked name ( Vineyard / Vincent / vin vin/ Vinastashula / Vroom vroom )… was the first kitten I laid eyes on when I walked into the shelter. Not even looking to adopt, I had to come back in the next day and adopt him. He has the sweetest domineer, very relaxed and likes to nap on car rides, and very playful and curious, but loves affection. He’s diagnosed with FIV and this made it more weary for other people before me to adopt him. FIV is a feline autoimmune disorder that can cause severe symptoms if the cat gets sick. So we gotta be careful for his health and diet. I could relate a lot to Vinny because I also have an autoimmune disorder and I also am on a strict diet that prevents me from eating fast food or anything with too many “man-made” Chemicals in it. I’ve been hospitalized twice in the past 2 months. And I can understand how it feels to have people give up on you at your lowest, or not want to “deal” with the reality of your situation.
This kitten is one of a kind and I hope and pray he gets all the love and support and good food he needs to live a long life.
