Unique dining experience if you are looking for Spanish tapas! Not really too familiar with this type of cuisine but our waitress was great to help and explained a lot of the menu. Overall a fun experience with good food.
We had the tasting menu for dinner while at Jaleo. All of the tapas were incredible with different tastes. Our server was Gabriel and he was absolutely magnificent. Would definitely recommend the tasting menu as there were many tapas on the menu & I would have not known where to start. It definitely was more than enough food for 3 of us.
We were greeted outside the front door with a hello and a warm smile as we proceeded to check in 10 minutes early to our reservation. Once inside, we were welcomed by a visiting manager of their Washington DC location, who introduced us by name to our server. The server was very pleasant and accommodated our request for an open table closer to the lake view that was within their section. Our server provided a nice breakdown of the items of interest on the menu and answered every question with a smile. KUDOS! We decided on the Almuerzo Rapido since we were a little short on time and not overly hungry. Wow, great choice! The tapas were tasty and very well made with careful presentation highlighting quality ingredients that left us wishing for a more hearty appetite and a surplus of time to properly enjoy either the “Jaleo Experience” or “Eat Like José”. Overall, it was a very nice lunch experience, and we will be back soon. A special thank you to Alan G. for giving us a great breakdown on the origin of the tiles and selection of colors and decor inside this Jaleo location.
I’ve been wanting to go here for years now. Don’t know why I waited so long! We went for the tasting menu and it was an amazing adventure. I went way out of my comfort zone, but glad I did. I would highly recommend it with the wine pairings. The waiter was a wealth of knowledge and explained every dish that came out and how it paired with the wines. The wines were very intense with two sherrys served. I would have never ordered them on my own, certainly delicious. The tasting lasted almost 3 hours so plan accordingly. Get comfortable because it’s about 10-12 dishes that come out tapas style. All delicious. Ham, lamb, seafood, cheeses, peppers…all flavor bombs. Take your time and savor everything!
