Jazzy’s BBQ is a standout spot for anyone craving top-notch barbecue. I recently visited and tried their ribs and collard greens, both of which exceeded expectations. The ribs were flavorful enough that I didn’t even feel the need for extra sauce, though a few pieces were a bit dry. Nonetheless, they were still impressive overall. The collard greens were a delightful side that paired perfectly with the ribs, enhancing the meal with their rich taste.
My girlfriend opted for the boneless chicken meal, which she chose to pair with BBQ baked beans and coleslaw. She was particularly taken with the coleslaw, calling it one of the best she’s ever had. The baked beans were also a hit, complementing the meal wonderfully.
One of the highlights of our visit was the warm, family-oriented atmosphere. It’s clear Jazzy’s BBQ is a family-run establishment, with the manager—or possibly the owner—demonstrating exceptional care and attention. He made a point of greeting each guest and ensuring everyone was satisfied, which added a personal touch to our dining experience.
Overall, Jazzy’s BBQ delivers fantastic food and a welcoming environment with wonderful Jazz music playing throughout the restaurant. I’m already looking forward to returning to sample more of their excellent barbecue offerings.
I arrived in and purchased the bowl. I asked for mac n cheese with the sausage and boneless chicken. I get back to work to find the bowl is tiny, For $14 plus tips this is crazy but hope the flavor of the food makes up for it. Not only were my 2 sides so bland but the (boneless) chicken that I paid $.50 extra for had bones it and I choked on one. Thank goodness I was sitting with people and they knew the Heimlich maneuver. I will never go back there again. I wish I could get my money back and head over to Mission Bbq where I can trust what I am being served.
Visited during lunch hour. Service was great and there was no long wait to place nor receive my order. While the service was absolutely top-notch, the food didn’t quite meet expectations.
Unfortunately, the rib dinner was underwhelming and the sweet potato pie didn’t taste fresh. While the presentation was nice, for the price, I expected better quality.
Overall, if you’re looking for a spot with excellent service and a great atmosphere, this could be worth a visit.
1st time eating at this establishment today. My husband decided to take me there for dinner. Hospitality was great everyone greeted us with smiles including the owners with warm welcome.
As far as the food…
The Mac was not my favorite I didn’t really like the mix with the stuffing on top. (But That’s my personal preference) chicken was good just a little dry, so you must eat it with sauce.
I did enjoy eating the sweet beans. Still recommend for you to try them out. Clean and nice restaurant.
I have been coming to this establishment ever since its existence. It’s been a few years since I’ve been there recently… I probably should have waited longer.
I guess this is what happens when you sell a business to people who don’t stay true to the original recipes.
It was obvious just from walking in that this was not the original restaurant that the Tampa Bay area has grown accustomed to loving.
The food was subpar and barely a shadow of what it used to be. The cornbread comes in plastic wrapping because when you open it up it pretty much explodes on the table like a glitter bomb. The meat was overly sweet and the sides were either dry or flavorless. Customer service was definitely quick but definitely NOT as friendly as it used to be.
I’m really really disappointed. I feel like it’s the end of an era.
If I were you I would drive the extra quarter of a block to Mission BBQ.
