I’m not sure if this place was just having an off day or what. But for dinner on Wednesday, I was the only one in there for about an hour. People did finally start trickling in, but it seemed odd that they had to fire up the grill because no one else was there eating. The food was decent, but the atmosphere was enough to make me not want to come back.
I ordered the lamb shish kebab, and the meat was not cooked all the way and it was cold!! Also, the tortilla wrap that it was in was chewy, and hard! The whole thing was so disgusting that I threw it away!! My granddaughter ordered the falafel wrap and that too was horrible!! The place floors were dirty and the whole place was filthy!! Never again will I eat there!
La Pita exceeded all expectations with their incredible chicken shawarma sandwich. From the moment I walked in, the staff greeted me warmly and were incredibly accommodating. But the real star of the show was the shawarma itself – easily the best I’ve ever had in Tampa. Every bite was bursting with flavor, perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection.
Overall great food. Fries were bomb and my Gyro was delicious. Good portions , pitas were not fresh which was disappointing. Would go again!
