An absolute gem. Here you’ll find some interesting species of flora and fauna unique to the region. Come explore yourself!
Beautiful place and very peaceful!
Highly recommend all-wheel-drive vehicle, or 4 x 4 if you don’t want to get stuck in the sand!
I really liked hiking here. It was free so that’s good. It was very quiet and I like that part. It had a beautiful section of Cypress swamp with lots of aquatic plants. It also has a vast expanse of scrub pine swamp. There were a couple of park benches sprinkled in it too. Good place for a hike.
Beautiful area, well maintained. It was a challenge to find the different hiking trails. No maps at location. You download but I like paper maps. If your phone dies you’d still have a map. There were beautiful savannas, easy to walk. Lots if bullfrogs, a bald eagle and pleated woodpecker made the day.
It’s beautiful to walk on this trail, although the entrance does look sketchy and you do get some Friday the 13 vibes (it goes towards camp Huckleberry). But the walk is really nice, and it’s a good way to exercise with a feel of adventure.
