Food and service was phenomenal! We ordered the oysters Rockefeller and the chowder for appetizers. For entree, I had the almond crusted mahi, while my fiance ordered the pontchartrain! Both were out of this world! We also ordered the sparkling lavender cocktail and the peach mule for drinks, and both were excellent choices! We really enjoyed ourselves! Our server was wonderful also. I had asked him about the menu options and had assumed he would have just hyped up the more expensive options and he didn’t, he was so sincere in his response and I really appreciated his honesty.
It was my first time ever going there, and I was pleasantly surprised. I will definitely be back!
We had a wonderful experience! Seafood pasta was to die for! My guy loved his grouper. And our waiter, Carlos, did an EXCELLENT job! He was prompt, attentive, very pleasant, and anticipated our needs before we had to ask. Highly recommend!
The service was fantastic, and the atmosphere was quiet and inviting. They ofered a delicious tableside smoked old-fashioned, a must get drink when here!
As for the food, it did not hit the mark. Not a lot of flavor and the chef salmon was served dry and overdone. Just felt the menu could use some updating and a better equipped kitchen staff to cook the dishes better.
Overall I would definitely return for drinks and appetizers 🙂
Landry”s seafood House is an Orlando institution, and has been in its location at one entrance of the “Disney Entrances” for many years. Laundry’s is also a giant franchise with many other restaurants around the US. The entrance to the restaurant is the same as I recall it from many years ago, with a kitsch dolphin fountain and looming wood arches in striking color. Some may call this nostalgic. The interior of the restaurant consists of several dining areas, with white linen tables and a bar right at the entrance. I proceeded to sit at the bar since I was going to enjoy their Happy Hour, which was ending at 5:30pm. I ordered a glass of white wine and two shrimp dishes from the Happy Hour menu: stuffed shrimp wrapped in bacon, and coconut shrimp with a sweet plum sauce. I have to say that the bartender was busy with other guests, but not swamped, nonetheless, I had to signal and wait for him to place my orders, and place them quickly before he ran away. There was no greeting, no glass of water (I had to ask for it), no asking what I wanted. I would describe his behavior as brusque, but efficient. I am use to getting served at bar counters, so I would expect a certain level of service in this type of restaurant (maybe Orlando servers are a little bit burnt out by the onslaught of tourists). The food was served freshly fried and hot, and it was delicious, except the bacon-wrapped shrimp, which were covered with a non-de script (and not described in the menu) white sauce, which took away from the otherwise plump and crunchy bundles. I would have given my experience four stars, but got three stars because the service I received at the bar and dated décor of the restaurant. I will return to Landry’s next time I am visiting Orlando to experience table service.
Great seafood spot to experience the Magical Dining! I always wanted to have dinner at Landry’s and final got the chance. My broker held the company dinner at Landry’s. The Magical Dining included the appetizer, entrees and dessert for $40. Scream to the roof! With deals like this, you expect to receive poor service and quality of food. This was not the case. Our server was more than pleasant and helpful with our food selection. I couldn’t believe how quickly the food came out. All of the dishes I selected were over the top great! The desert was my favorite. I hope to come back again for that.
