I have loved and been a customer of this store for years but will definitely be shopping there less in the future. Many items had been repriced today to a significantly higher price point than they had 3 days ago to coincide with the start of a sale. There was also a customer service issue with clerks splitting people to 2 registers, one for cash one for credit, but with 4 people at the counter 1 person was working a register.
While I used to enjoy shopping at this thrift store, I’ll no longer be spending my money there. Today I overheard some of the staff making comments about how much better it was with Trump keeping immigrants out of they country, and a host of other racially charged comments.
I can’t spend my money where bigots reside.
This location has a better selection than the one in Brandon. It’s good prices when it’s on sale like the housewares and home decor. The customer service at this location is unfriendly at this location. The employees are such in a rush they want people out of the store even a few minutes before closing and they keep announcing that they’re closing. Even saw a employee make a rude comment to a customer when the person was just picking something up before the store was closing and the employee said you’re really pushing it, in a rude way. Customer friendliness isn’t a thing at this store it’s very unprofessional how they talk to customers all because they’re so desperate to leave right when the store closes even a few mins before the time.
Life’s Treasures is an adorably named small thrift store in Tampa (one of several).
It may be small, but it’s certainly packed to the brim. In that regard, and like most thrifts, you then have the dilemma that there is a lot of junk, but a few “treasures” to be found here and there.
They had a lot of decor and kitchenware that was really nice and well priced. Same goes for the shoe collection. Other than that, it’s really really random array of stuff. Maybe more random than most. But they are in support of some hospice businesses so I more than respect their mission and purpose.
This store used to be great, but recently the mark up on products has been absurd. Used household items are just as expensive as if priced new and products have been sitting for a bit. Maybe they turn items on their sale days, but sticker shock was real the past several times I have visited.
