Easy access. Drive straight in! Good parking on sandy rocks. Outdoor changing rooms, showers, restrooms, cafe, ice cream, um rella and chair rentals, gift shop, outdoor bar. Gorgeous beach. When driving into town there’s a sign that says, you’re in island time, slow down! Such a nice reminder!
There’s a visitor center too!
It’s January 2025. Manatee Beach is fully open unlike other beaches that are still dealing with the destruction of the 2024 hurricane season…
Free parking. Nice and long beach for walking, laying and playing.
Water is cool. No one is swimming today.
Amazing sand. Always well maintained and always very clean. Thanks everyone who keep up with the great work to manage this beach.
Absolutely loved the week we spent visiting this beach. Early morning and sunset swims were beautiful – gorgeous sunsets! Also, very quiet. Much busier during the day, especially on the weekend of course. Saturdays are all you can pancakes from a station next to the bar. Bar itself opens at 10. Great food stand – Breakfast served til noon, then lunch/dinner. Umbrellas and chairs available for rent as well.
Manatee Park is one of Florida’s top tier beaches and absolutely deserves it’s fame and notoriety. I came here in March to visit Sarasota for the first time and the surrounding area, but Siesta Key was too crowded. So I drove into downtown Sarasota for lunch, then drove into Bradenton and eventually ended up out on Anna Maria, which fortunately had some parking still available. Very clear waters, almost aqua, and they started playing live music as the sun started going down. I’m not entirely sure how the beaches look after Milton but I will be taking another trip here again. Between Anna Maria and Siesta Key, you literally can’t go wrong with either location. Only thing is I just wish there was more parking on this coast of Florida lol
