Our family recently visited Mortem Manor in Kissimmee, Fl, and we had a blast! This haunted house was super fun with a great blend of suspense and surprise. Each room was uniquely designed in various horror themes and the attention to detail in the decor / special effects was super impressive.
Also the staff were incredibly kind and made sure our family felt comfortable and safe. 10/10 would definitely visit again!
This was one of the scariest walk through haunted houses I’ve ever been to!!!! I brought two of my young kids in (I do not recommend) but we did make it to the end. The amount of detail that they put into every room is unmatched by any haunted house I’ve ever been in. The perfect balance of animatronics and actors makes the jump favor very unpredictable in the best way possible. If you make your way down to Disney you are doing a disservice not to check this out if you are into horror!!!
I’ll be honest, is the house as good as something from Horror Nights…not really. But the intimacy of it is what makes it scarier than most houses at any theme park event. What’s awesome is that they let you go with just your traveling party. So if it’s just two of you, then just the two of you will walk the house. It’s not short, which makes it well worth the money and plenty of scares. Many from animatronics more so than people (at least that was the case when I went) but very entertaining and very creepy. I can’t wait to go again.
I came all the way from Switzerland to Orlando to experience all the haunted houses and halloween festivals that were happening in October. When I googled and found out about Mortem Manor, I had to try it too! Ticket price is reasonable for me and I had a wait time of around 5 mins. at the time. It was mid October around 7PM.
I liked it so much and wanted to see all of the details again, that I went a second time but alone. Because my partner was too scared.
I liked that the actor at the beginning did the same script again, even though he knew that I just experienced it. The actor did a great solid job! The house itself had 3 live actors at the time of visit and many animatronics to go along. Unlike Universals Halloween Horror Nights, you walk alone in your group. Which makes it a bit more intimidating but fun.
I just have one complaint: [HOUSE SPOILERS AHEAD] Please skip this part if you don‘t want spoilers. But one room was a hallway you had to walk, which was FULL of smoke. Like sooo full you didn‘t see anything or where you were going. I had to help another family group out, they asked me kindly if I could go infront of them, so I did. It‘s a rather short section but you seriously saw NOTHING. [End of spoilers]
All in all it was a solid and fun experience for me. The shop right next to the house is also very cool to take a look at! I will definitely visit again!
It was so scary, I LOVED IT! Everything was so well made, the decor were amazing, you really feel like you are in a haunted mansion not in a attraction. I highly recommend if you like a good scare!
