This place was AWESOME! Everything that came out was good! I had the catfish, mac & cheese, collard greens, candy, yams, cornbread, oxtail, cabbage, and yellow rice (we listen and we don’t judge lol). Of course we didn’t eat it all, we saved some for later, but everything that came out of the kitchen was great!
Ruth was our server and she was the sweetest! We will definitely be back when we’re in town.
A truly unique dining experience in Orlando. Nikki serves traditional soul food dishes in a cute “hole in the wall” restaurant that only adds to the experience. The service staff are super friendly and helpful and ready to offer suggestions on what to eat. We had the oxtail and rib tips and wow! they were absolutely awesome. The serving sizes are massive and the dishes are bursting with flavor. They have a big selection of desserts and I recommend the banana pudding. Nikki’s is a bit out of the way, but I recommend making the time to come here and try their food and wonderful service.
I got a fried catfish with grits, 1 fried egg and a half of 1 piece of toast with a lemonade for my drink. That dish was $13.99. The portions and taste was not $13.99 worthy. The grits and were the only thing that was tasty but had only 3 spoon fulls of it. For the amount of food I had, I should have paid $5.99. I could have gone to Breakfast King. Oh yeah, the lemonade was good.
I had the pleasure of dining at Nikki’s Place, and I have to say — this spot absolutely lives up to its reputation. From the moment I walked in, I felt that warm, welcoming vibe that only a true family-run soul food restaurant can offer. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made me feel right at home.
Now, let’s talk about the food — because that’s where Nikki’s Place truly shines. The fried chicken was perfectly seasoned and fried to crispy perfection, with juicy meat that fell right off the bone. The collard greens had just the right balance of smoky and savory flavors, and the mac & cheese was rich, creamy, and clearly made with love. Will definitely be back, thanks Shanette!
