This theater is not perfect, but it is a diamond in the rough, and underappreciated.
The best way to access is from the top level of the parking garage. There is a walking bridge in one corner of the top level that brings you to a long hallway that exits near the movie theater.
Prices are cheap as they offer evening, matinee, and even early ticket prices for those in the early afternoon. Regardless, their evening tickets will be cheaper than regular tickets at Regal, AMC, etc..
The staff are friendly, the concessions are affordable, and stuffed to the brim. Honestly , I don’t think I’ve ever had so many chips and nacho cheese on movie theater nachos, and you can get chili and jalapenos on top as well.
The bathrooms have always been clean and fully stocked when I have been there.
The movie theater hasn’t had many updates over the years, but that’s more of the carpets, ceilings, and wall artwork.
You can’t beat the value for the money, it’ll take you back to when we didn’t have cell phones and we all met at the water fountain, or in front of Macy’s to meet up with friends, and they have so many individual theaters that you’ll probably be able to see a movie not even in the other theater locations.
I’m posting this because I don’t want this place to disappear because others didn’t know about it, similar to how even locals don’t know about Enzian Theater.
As far as dead malls go, this one is very pretty! The escalators and elevator were both broken today, which is wild because the theater is upstairs. Also, the AC doesn’t seem to work in the main walking areas. I hope it’s better inside the theater.
The family & I saw a wonderful movie Christmas Day here. Popcorn at this theater is yummy. I love the old school seating & prices for everything was extremely fair. I LOVE this theater ❤️❤️
We love going here for the inexpensive tickets, especially matinee. I also love it that they show a lot of family movies and movies based on true stories as well as the most popular movies of the day. Staff is always friendly. Bathrooms are always clean. Very comfortable seats.
We recently visited this movie theater and, unfortunately, had a pretty shocking experience in Theater One. While watching our movie, we heard something crawling up the fabric walls and saw what we initially thought was a squirrel because of its size. It turned out to be a rat, which we saw disappear into the ceiling.
On the positive side, the staff here are very friendly, and the bathrooms are always clean, which we appreciate. That said, seeing a rat in a place that serves food is unsettling, even if it may be out of the theater’s control due to the largely abandoned mall it’s located in.
We understand the challenges they might face with the location, but the presence of pests does impact the overall experience. Hopefully, management can address this issue soon, as this theater has a lot of potential thanks to its great team.
