This place was really nice! I went on a chilly day, and even so, plenty of animals were outside.
I only got to go on one trail loop and probably 35% of the park area, but it always really nice.
They have a playground for kids at the entrance, and they apparently also host food truck festivals and other events there.
I’ve only been once, but so far it was amazing. We went with small children on bike with adults on bikes as well.
One thing I will say, is that if you are going with children or small dogs or pets, watch out for wildlife, because it is still Florida after all.
Amazing place, will go again.
Fantastic place to go birding, biking, hiking and view wildlife. Well groomed paths between marshes and lakes. On my visit today, travelled over 3+ hours, 3+ miles and 62 species of birds. In addition, was able to see the Vermillion Flycatcher. What a gorgeous bird! Also, tons of alligators! Thanks, but I will stay away from them.
Visitor Center was not open and under construction. Looks like it will be really nice when complete.
So grab your binoculars, pack a picnic and head to the wetlands.
Took a relaxing hike here on Sunday. There was a lot of wildlife to see and lots of trails to pick out. I saw a couple alligators up close. You won’t believe how many birds there are. There is a tram that is also free, but I opted to not take it so I could get in some steps.
This was one of my most favorite places in Orlando. It was a Sunday morning and it was a little busy. The parking on site was almost full, the one across the road was not quite full yet, when we were there around 9 am. Noticed that there was a new visitor center under construction. Do not miss the boardwalk, where was all the excitement.
What a fantastic place to see wildlife up close from their trails and boardwalk. The roseate spoonbills, egrets, and wood storks were building their nests, and some already had eggs in them. The osprey were soaring and diving for fish, new baby sandhill cranes walking and feeding close by. It was an overload and dream for wildlife photography. They have a tram on weekends, which I hope we can get back there to experience. This is an absolutely wonderful place to visit!
