This was our first time coming to try the ramen here. We have been trying all the ramen spots in central Florida and beyond and came to this one after reading the great reviews but honestly big disappointment! Our server was great. We ordered guozas to start and they were excellent but the sauce has was not the best aside from that it was a big fail. When you are first seated the booths need to be refurbished as the seats are breaking apart so make sure you wear jeans when visiting. Secondly when they brought us the side plates and the gyozas, the plates were chipped! You could take those out of your stockpile and discard them at this point! Then we ordered the tonkotsu shoyu and the curry ramen. They arrived quickly but the curry ramen did not look so appealing as it had a very yellow unnatural color. The tontosku shoyu ramen was very bland and tastes more like a broth tonkotsu should have a nice milky color not a brownish color. Also the green onion should be like a garnish not so excessive because when you get to the bottom of the broth all you have is a bunch of green onions and broth. Lastly this is the first time in all my ramen experiences that my ramen did not come with nori and I had to order it as a side. I would give this place a 3 out of 10 was not worth the two hour drive at all.
We started with the chicken and gyoza appetizers, both of which were incredibly fresh and flavorful. The karaage chicken was lightly battered to perfection—crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside—and the sauce combination was a standout. It had a delicious balance of sweet and savory, reminiscent of honey mustard and eel sauce.
For the main course, we ordered the R22 curry ramen and the Hot Tonkotsu ramen, both of which were outstanding. Each bite was packed with rich, bold flavors, and the broth stayed steaming hot until the very last spoonful.
Beyond the fantastic food, the service was excellent, making our experience even more enjoyable. This place is truly a hidden gem, and we highly recommend it!
Overall the food was good. The ramen noodles tasted a bit blend. Karaage Chicken had what I think is honey mustard and another sauce which I am not sure what it is. The original karaage I don’t think does based on other ramen house I had visited. Great variety, service is good. I would be back to try other dishes.
This place was amazing. Our server Melissa was top notch and very friendly. The food was phenomenal. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming and very clean. I had the wagyu tonkotsu. It was delicious. My hubby was enthralled by the Korean Budae Jjigae. The otsuka buns were the best items in the menu. We ordered seconds. This was our first visit but will definitely not be our last.
Tried Otsuka ramen last night. Great experience. Cozy little place in the corner of a strip mall off dale mabry and Lambright. Service was excellent our server was so funny and timely. Decided on the Otsuka miso hot ramen, was delicious. Portions were really good and flavor was great. Everything was to the right temperature and served hot! Ramen came out from the kitchen very fast.
I opted for medium spice, but could have done hot. If you are spice adverse I would recommend mild or medium. I added more chili oil to mine! The meats were cooked good. I throughly enjoyed it.
Stop by there for some delicious ramen!!
