The food here is very good, authentic, and the flavors were very nice and worth what I paid for in terms of quality and how full I felt afterwards. I got the spicy goat plate and the spice levels were good and what I like for spicy food. The owner Rodney is very kind and he is fun to talk to. I’d highly recommend trying this place out and I’d definitely come back!
This is a true hidden gem in Tampa! I’m thrilled that I discovered Pepper Island. If you’re a fan of Caribbean cuisine from Trinidad or Tobago, this is the place for you. The chicken curry roti was incredibly delicious, moist, and perfectly seasoned. The pepper and tamarind sauce had just the right amount of heat.
Food was excellent and clearly prepared with love. Nice full portions and delicious. The doubles are so fresh and hits the spot for a night out. Chicken roti was nice big chucks chicken and potatoes. Skins fresh and on point. Definitely my go to if in the area. This is how its done!

Popped up on my Instagram yesterday and decided to check it out since I was going to be in the vicinity.
Ordered the goat curry, with rice and of course, love my channa. They have a homemade hot sauce which I asked to have on the side. How was it? Let’s just say I’m coming back later for an early dinner to try another dish and the scheduled entertainment scheduled.
