Pisco Restaurant And Bar

First time at this restaurant and I was really impressed. Huge menu with lots to choose from. I really enjoyed this soup dish posted below served with rice 9/10. Customer service was very good as well. Look forward to dining here again!

Pisco is a good-sized restaurant with a good mixture of tables and booth seating. We were greeted at the door promptly but right away ran into Spanish speaking only hostess. While someone else came to assist, it definitely set the pace for the night for us. As soon as we mentioned we don’t speak Spanish we got whisked off to what I would call the English only table right by the servers doorway and front door area all by itself. I would normally would have asked to be moved to the more active part of the restaurant where everyone was being seated. The main part of the restaurant had music playing and was very alive but instead decided to just keep my review going. We did get a server that spoke English well enough to help guide us through the menu questions we had. We ordered our food with no problem as we just pointed at a number on the menu. Now, with that said, the service overall was good but did leave a little disappointment that we did not feel fully welcome. We have been to several other places with the same language issues. The only difference was their restaurants treated us amazingly and made us feel welcome. They spoke broken English and we felt comfortable enough to try to speak Spanish and had a wonderful time. Ok, let me move on! Now food wise Pisco has wonderful food full of flavor. Everything we ordered was cooked perfectly. Their menu is perfect for those who want to try something new and exciting. We started off with some Yuca Frita as an appetizer. For dinner, my girlfriend had Jalea de Mariscos, which was an amazing seafood dish with octopus, squid, mussels,shrimp, and fish served with fried yucca and pickled onions,corn, tomato salad i guess. I went with chicharron de pollo with white rice. I have to say the Jalea de Mariscos was a massive serving and would definitely satisfy anyone with a craving for seafood. The atmosphere would have been good if only we were seated where the lively vibes were happening instead of the lone table. We plan on going back again to see if we have the same experience or if we have a better experience. Also we would love to try more of their menu as we were very satisfied with the food which is the star of all restaurants.
I almost forgot something cool that they do at Piscos. They offer photo opportunities to be taken of you while dining. They take pictures of multiple poses, then print and frame right there for purchase. I thought it was a pretty neat idea.
