This is our 4th year here – and it’ll be our last. We choose to stay in condos rather than hotels so once in a while we can cook – there’s an oven… but no pans! No cutting board, no knife, no coffee pot…. Seems silly, but for the price…. And when I spoke to the manager, Damon, I was told “that’s how it is” without even a smile.
The bartenders at the bar by the pool are extraordinary, friendly and efficient and the view is great.
When my friend and I booked this hotel we were very excited. We booked it for its very specific amenities such as the sunset pier, the shuttle to the airport, and the private beach, just to name a few.
Upon arrival, we were beyond taken back that none of the amenities listed on the website when booking and CURRENTLY listed were of access. We checked in, went to our room, and immediately it reeked of mold. My friend pulled out the couch for her bed and there were stains on it as well as hair on the bed in the main bedroom.
We quickly went to the front desk where there was an empty wine bottle just sitting on the floor, and the associate very quickly gave us a new room.
We walked into the new room only to interrupt someone doing a photo shoot, so we proceeded back to the front desk to receive now a third room.
Our third room smelled much less like mold and while I tried to search for an alternative hotel near us, we decided to just stay put as it was only two nights and then we were off to a cruise.
I figured I’d try to deal with the smell and get fresh air by opening the windows despite having asthma and make sure to contact someone when I got back home as jumping from room to room to check which one smelled less moldy wasn’t ideal.
I’m sure the beaches and docks have been dissembled or broken due to the aftermath of the hurricanes which is very unfortunate. However they should not be listed as amenities when you can’t access them. Nor should we be paying for “extras” when they’re unusable at this time.
Our key card even listed these options as well as the shuttle to the airport and when we asked the front desk about our airport ride, we were once again told that “the service no longer exists”. Another thing we expected, yet now had to pay out of pocket for due to the false advertising.
Had we known that we couldn’t access the beach, enjoy the sunset on the dock, or even get a shuttle to the airport, we wouldn’t have picked this place.
It was a very disappointing experience. Not just for the false advertising but is extremely unsanitary and unsafe to have such mass amounts of mold in the rooms.
I’ve contacted two managers and haven’t heard from anyone. Save yourself the time, energy, and money and go somewhere else.
amazing location. a bit pricey but the view makes it worth while. this 1 star goes out to the blonde lady working the café this morning 3/9/2025. i asked for a favor and she gave me attitude for not tipping well. It’s disgusting to be rude to a customer over an $18 check, leaving a bad taste in my mouth; over not getting a $3 tip that she did not deserve whatsoever. especially after her comment.
Could be a great place but isn’t maintained well by management. Plumbing was bad. Toilet didn’t work correctly and dishwasher leaked while washing dishes in the sink. Understaffed, so rooms don’t get cleaned during stay and there was no broom to sweep floors. Pull out couch mattress was super uncomfortable. Outdoor fitness equipment is seized up from being outside all the time. Nice view of the bay, nice beach and pool area, but too far from ocean beaches for the money.
Our unit was very clean, excellent appliances with a great view looking over the pool & Bay. The restaurant/bar was nice. Downside is both of elevators were broken so we had to climb four stories with luggage, groceries. The amenities fee was entirely too high since it was only the pool. The beach, grills, pier were still roped off.
