Asked for spinach dip and chips as an appetizer, told don’t have it, not a big seller. Asked for a Reuben sandwich, no corn beef. Finally decided on the ‘ Happy Waitress ‘ (open-faced grilled cheese) and got this. When I asked the waitress about the lack of cheese… I was charged $2 to make the sandwich acceptable. Also very dry and had to request mayo. Waitress wasn’t very pleasant and the restaurant wasn’t remotely busy. Won’t be returning until she retires.

During this visit, I decided to try their crab cakes, which came with a choice of soup or salad, a potato, vegetables, and dessert. I opted for the beef and vegetable soup, which was packed with flavor and truly delicious. My sides included mashed potatoes with corn, and for dessert, I selected the rice pudding, which was the perfect sweet ending to the meal.
My girlfriend chose a late-night breakfast and enjoyed three large pancakes with blueberry preserves. The pancakes were light, fluffy, and perfectly paired with the tangy-sweet preserves.
The friendly and attentive service from our waitress made the experience even more enjoyable. I couldn’t be happier to have stumbled upon this tiny, nostalgic diner, and I’ll definitely be returning for more. All the staff in this super convenient and delicious 24/7 home town diner are incredible! They always make you feel welcome. Any time I’m working overnight and I need breakfast I stop by here! Great for my keto diet also!
THE FLIES ADD TO THE AMBIANCE. Clean establishment but be prepared to swat flies during your visit. Kind of adds to the character of the diner. LOLMenu and service are great. Kind of small so large parties will have to split up into different booths. Food was excellent will definitely visit again.
It’s was better than I expected. It’s a small dinner good food, great atmosphere. The eggs Benedict was pretty good, corned beef hash is from a can but good, grits were good too.
