We were so happy to have the chance to visit Uncle Julio’s in Orlando! first steak fajitas are an absolute favorite—perfectly seasoned, sizzling hot, and packed with flavor. Not to mention the chocolate piñata dessert, which was such a fun and delicious experience! The service was excellent, and the atmosphere made our visit even more enjoyable. We’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!
The service was unacceptable for the location, left without water, table did not have silverware and both dishes, the Roberto’s and then fajitas came out so far apart the fajitas were clapped out.
The fajita steak was tough and had the fat strip still in place so it was clearly rushed out
The ground beef was salty and tasted very processed I expected more honestly,
Prices are fair and the atmosphere is honestly really nice with the view of the Ferris wheel, too bad I would not return simply because of the other factors, also had to ask the host desk for the check that was a real turn off

When we arrived they told us that it would be an hour long wait but we were seated in 20 minutes great. Our server was Daniela she was so lovely and provided us with great service. She definitely was the BEST part of that restaurant. We ordered fajita bowl steak was very rare did not enjoy and my husband had tacos food did not have flavor didn’t see the hype of this place at all. It was ok for me it was blah. Thank you Daniela for your service and time.
Uncle Julio’s used to be our favorite Mexican restaurant in Orlando until this last visit yesterday. Apparently they have made lots of changes to the menu removing some staple food items. They removed Chile con Queso from the menu and replaced it with Queso Blanco. Uncle Julio’s was the only restaurant in town with proper Queso, now they are just like every other Mexican restaurant in town. Queso Blanco is bland and has a much different consistency that the proper yellowish orange Chili con Queso.
Additionally, my Mom has a few staples that she likes to order at proper Mexican restaurants and she wanted a Chile Relleno. Well, this also was not an option. They talked her into ordering what they say was similar which turned out to be what appeared to be a small chili chimichanga, supposedly with cheese sauce but it was just melted shredded cheese on top. Not at all close to what she wanted.
Another family member ordered chicken and steak fajitas and the chicken had skin on it. I’ve never ever seen chicken fajitas with the skin on it.
One member of our party wanted to order vegetable fajitas (grilled vegetables) and was told that they don’t have that anymore too. How hard is it to grill some vegetables up?
Uncle Julio’s is where we go when we want great Mexican food and when we are celebrating something like we were yesterday.
This restaurant is an hour from our house with traffic which hasn’t been a problem to get great food that we love…with these changes in the menu and removal of our favorite items unique to Uncle Julio’s in Orlando, I don’t know if we need to make that drive through heavy traffic to experience. This makes us sad.
