This trail has both paved and natural sections. The natural sections start out in full sun but do have some shaded areas. Bring lots of water. Parking is $2 per vehicle for the whole day. There are some pretty views, but it’s mostly typical Florida vegetation. I did see a tortoise today.
I love this trail I appreciate that I live so near over the years I’ve found Wild Flowers through the hiking & paved trails. I also love being able to feel and see Nature I suggest to bring a snack, Sunscreen, Hat and Definitely have plenty of water i personally have a water backpack and most of the time I go in the Fall – Winter – time since it so hot most of the year. I usually go through October – March.
The 2.00 parking fee is very reasonable. There is a water station and picnic table area. Not a lot of shade. Bring plenty of water.
Great trailhead to start the Suncoast Trail. Bathrooms are there and they have a small cooler with water. Definitely bring your own water too.
The family had a good time “going in a bear hunt.” “And looking for treasure” according to our two year olds.
Information only it is walking trails, no restrooms.
