I’m normally not a fan of fake meat in vegan food, but the execution here was impressive. I salivated as soon as I opened the box and a Popeye’s-like aroma filled the air. The well-seasoned breading was craggy and crispy while remaining light and greaseless. One of the best breadings I’ve had.
Love the biscuits here!! Tried the burrito, it wasn’t for me, but my husband enjoyed it. We also had the impossible breakfast sandwich, which was much better than the one you’d get from Starbucks (it’s the biscuit, I’m telling you it’s delicious!). Service was quick and friendly, located in a market with a great outdoor space.
Very blindly tried this place after figuring out it’s completely plant based. We were blown away! The biscuits were flaky and tasty and the gravy was so flavorful. Love this plant based southern food movement pls keep it coming haha. The environment is pristine too with so many small shops and seating.
My husband and I got the chicken sandwich here few weeks ago and haven’t stopped talking about it since then. We just tried the box with the biscuit, chicken strips, and fries and it did not disappoint. They really nailed the quality of the food, making it a great choice for vegans and non-vegans alike. We’re looking forward to making our way through the rest of the items on the menu.
I came to the East End Market on afternoon to eat a few things from a few places for lunch. One of the places I targeted was the Winter Park Biscuit Co., a local legend in terms of vegan eating.
Ambiance was nice. It was just a stall in the greater food hall, but it was certainly the nicest stall in the whole food hall. Diner-esque, almost. Very inviting. They did a lot with not a lot.
Service was fine. You order from a kiosk, I hate that, and the only interaction I get with a human was when he called my number out. But, I think the kids like not interacting with humans. Not sure.
Anyway, the food. It was redonk. We ordered the Crispy Chik Sandwich (Crispy Chik Cutlet with Lettuce, Tomato, Pickles & Mayo on a toasted Brioche Bun).
I cannot believe the illusion magic they do with this thing. The mega-thicc cutlet it so delicious. The outside crunch of the things, you would never guess that it was vegan. If the cutlet was a little thinner, you might not ever know the whole thing was vegan. So delicious. Accented by the fresh veg, more illusion food with the mayo and the brioche, just a lovely little sandwich.
Overall, I could not believe how good this place was. I had heard it was great, but hype is one thing, but the proof is in the pudding, and I bet this place would make a mean vegan pudding.
